The scanner is the agency's spine
Every engagement we sell starts and ends with a ShopTool scan: the audit is a scan plus interpretation, monitoring is scans on a schedule, and "proof of work" is two scans compared. That's deliberate — it means our claims about your store are checkable, on the same 0–100 ruler, before and after we touch anything.
What a scan measures
- Agentic commerce readiness — can AI agents discover and transact with the store through the emerging standards?
- Product structured data — are the fields AI shopping results rank on (price, availability, reviews, identifiers) present and valid on every product?
- Product data quality — thin titles, missing descriptions, duplicates: the things that make products unrankable even with valid schema

Common questions
Does ShopTool need access to my store admin?
No. It reads only your public storefront — the same pages an AI shopping agent sees. That's the point: the score reflects what the outside world can actually read.
Can I run a scan myself?
The compact scan on our /scan page is free and instant when available; the full report is run by us on request. A public self-serve version with API access is in development.
My site isn't on Shopify — is a scan still useful?
Partially. ShopTool will identify what platform you're actually on, with evidence and confidence. Full AI-readiness scoring is Shopify-specific — if you're elsewhere, the result usually feeds a migration conversation.
